Developmental Language Disorder
What you need to know
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a lifelong condition where the child has difficulties talking and/or understanding language. The cause is unknown and it can run in families. DLD affects all aspects of a person’s life including learning at school, reading and writing, participating in social activities, developing relationships with others, and achieving employment.
How we can help?
Speech Pathologists can help children with DLD to develop skills and strategies to achieve and participate in all areas of their life.
